Total Bulgarian domination of the Balkan MMA Championship in Tirana! Our athletes destroyed the competition and won 20 gold, 14 silver and 4 bronze medals from the seventh edition of the competition, which took place on June 17 and 18 in the capital of Albania. For another year, our fighters also won first place in the team ranking.
Tirana for the third time hosted the championship, organized by the Albanian MMA Federation, together with the Balkan MMA Federation. The competition was supported by the Municipality of Tirana within the framework of Tirana - European Capital of Sports 2023.
The honored participants were welcomed by Mr. Aryan Rizai, President of the Albanian MMA Federation, Mr. Stanislav Nedkov, President of the Bulgarian MMA Federation (BFMMA) as well as the Balkan MMA Federation, and Mr. Ivaylo Kirov, Extraordinary and Ambassador Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Republic of Albania.
